Start off by choosing your clan.

Uchiha
Nara
Inuzuka
Kaguya
Hyuuga
Uzumaki
Haku

+Additional clans that I left out.

Then choose your village.

Rain
Leaf
Sound
Snow
Fire
Waterfall
Lightning

+Additional Villages I left out.

Then you see your character. Half naked nothing but small shorts on.
Then you dress your character to your liking.
Choose hair color and pants color and shirt style.

Then as you progress through the game and earn money you can choose what kind of weapon profession your character will have.

Kunais and Shurikens are for all Characters.

Yes dondre is correct. If this was to work, you would have to choose village first and then get a choice of which clan from that village, as the Uchiha clan (for an example) was sworn to stay in Konoha. So they are only in Konoha and nowhere else. We haven't really figured out how we are gonna do this though... we all know the majority of people would be Uchiha... so we still need to discuss this aspect of the game.

Probably, 1 in every ~400 will be enough by the time it's popular...

Everyone would want to kick the hell out of the Uchiha Characters because they got Uchiha.

But ok 1/400 is fine because once we start having thousands of players then we would have a good 10 or so Uchiha Characters.

Haha I like that idea, 1 out of 400 sounds pretty decent. Yet we could have some play space with that, seeing as not every Uchiha had the potential to get the mangekyou sharingan. So if we wanted to drop the 400 to say 200 or 100, then we would still be able to and have not every Uchiha using Mangekyou.

On another note, we can't really scrap the Uchiha clan. It's not fair, and they are in the manga/anime. We just have to really look at them as being balanced with every other clan. I say we can add clans and give you randomized (as in you don't pick) decisions. Or randomly pick 2 clans, and the user picks between the 2. To give them a choice. For instance, a randomized pick comes up and I have a choice to be either Hyuuga or Aburame. So I choose one of the two and my journey starts in the academy. Yet haven't really thought on this idea much lol.

Very true Tsengu. Well said. If we were making a game about before the manga and anime start (see latest manga), then it would be a different story. Near half the players would have the Sharingan. But I think the balance and variety of lots of traits in the characters will make it appeal to players, just like how the anime (even in fillers) keeps introducing new techniques and abilities that have advantages not previously thought of.

Yeah Tsengu its a good idea.

But I cant STAND Hyuuga or Aburame. So that would cause us to lose players.

But just to be fair and save. I'm saying 1/300 players should get Uchiha..

i like that idea it makes the game more relistic i think, but takashi has a point a player might not get the clan he wants so he quits..idk but i still like the idea ^^;;

Well the way I see it, if a player quits because he didn't get the clan he wanted.. then I think we are better off without them, because at that point they aren't just trying to play the game, they are trying to be all 'powerful' with a certain clan... and will be very sad to find out that all clans will practically be balanced. I think that's probably the reason why we should just stick to randomizing. Not even giving them a choice of two.

Note: After saying this though.. I do understand a bit.. I hate the Inuzuka clan lol. So I don't know...

good point...but i really do like the idea of randomizing it, b/c really you can't pick who ur born as r what ur born as, it's a luck of the draw really =D

That's true. ZeroWing and I discussed this awhile back, before we joined Sorlaize and Rave.. we had the idea that we could randomize and the player wouldn't find out what clan he was until he was level 20 or so. It would really just concentrate on getting to genin and learning jutsu and everything up til then, and at that point you would learn which clan you were in. It would really save the problem of people logging in and out and trying to get their specific clan.

if we do that we might wanna make it kinda hard to get to lv 20 r w/e lv we go wiff, b/c whats ganna stop them from remakin when they get to lv 20? but if we make it hard they might not relog and what not but yeah i like that idea thats sumin i never would have thought of ^^; lol

Well the one thing I don't want, is the 'leveling' system to be as easy as World of Warcraft. I rather have it like FFXI, but I kind of want it harder than that. The game isn't really set on leveling like other games. The game is more set on battle and interaction than anything else really.

i got yah...so maybe insead of lvin up by Exp u lv up by real expence(sp?) like instead of standing infront of a log and throwin shurkin at it...you gota get out there and try out moves and battle people and work on jutsus, read books? stuff like that?

True, but I do like the idea of levels still. It makes up games. An rpg isn't really a game without levels.
