What would you prefer as a Level Cap?
Level Cap
We haven't really talked about what level we should put as a Cap. I would go with level 80 but lets choose together

Ok, level cap should be based on your total level of(taijutsu, ninjutsu, genjutsu)
So cant just base it on nothing...
If you reffer back to my rank idea.
So if total amount of points you can have for example 12,000 as maximum cap(jounin cap)
we could make every 1000 points in(either tai,nin,gen)=10 lvls
So i would say max lvl is 120.
So for example if you have:
333 taijutsu
+
1333 ninjutsu
+
2334 genjutsu
=
4000
4000\100=40
you would be lvl 40.

Re: Level Cap
Me and Sw0rdm3n talked on this for a while. The idea we came up with and agreed could work was:
You have stat points which [are capped in a sense...but not completely.]
You also have a battle level which goes up with battle experience & stat points gained.
And skill points which tell you how good of a ninja you actually are. (max skill points increase with missions / fights started, and skill points are gained when your attacks hit / are more accurate for example. Over time your rank could increase partly due to this [Kage will require a lot of Skill Points and not just a high rank/battle exp.])
When training your stats go up depending on the type of training you choose to do. For example, if you train by running on walls and trees, your chakra control goes up (you will be told about all the examples in-game). This however uses some of your stat points, which are what you need to train, and only more fighting / completing missions can give you more.
Every time you have no more stat points, your stats will have their own balance. The idea is that there are many kinds of stereotypes such as masculine, heavy ninjas and swift & lightweight ninjas. You character will fit somewhere inbetween all of these, since there are many ways to train. But you can't train all your stats to the max. That's the cap.
You will be able to advance to the next ninja rank when you've got no more stat points or just a few left. You can still continue to train after this, however you won't get your stats (such as max hp, max chakra) increased yet because you haven't passed the ninja exam. Your skill points will be lowered when you gain a rank, according to the amount of extra training you did.
(This is just a rough idea of course, it's not very good I know )

Also to put this in English.
Genin Cap:2000(stat points)
Ninjutsu:1-2000
Taijutsu:1-2000
Genjutsu:1-2000
Chakra Amount:50,000
Health:50,000
HandSeal Speed:100%
ChakraControl:100%
Chuunin Cap:6000(stat points)
Ninjutsu:1-6,000
Taijutsu:1-6,000
Genjutsu:1-6,000
Chakra Amount:200,000
Health:200,000
HandSeal Speed:100%
ChakraControl:100%
Jounin:12,000 MAX (Stat points)
Ninjutsu:1-12000 MAX
Taijutsu:1-12000 MAX
Genjutsu:1-12000 MAX
Chakra Amount:500,000 MAX
Health:500,000 MAX
HandSeal Speed:100%
ChakraControl:100%
You wont get stat points. You will have to train stat directly.
Reason for why I used the word stat point, to show how much you will be
able to train your stats at that particular rank you are in.
So if you want to train ninjutsu, you will go do jutsus over and over again, and the ninjutsu stat will lvl up.
So if you want to train taijutsu, you will go and kick logs, and taijutsu stat will llvl up.
.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.
Example!
.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.
But lets say you are capped chuunin.
meaning you used your 6000 "stat points".
On a build like this:
1200 taijutsu
3000 ninjutsu
1800 genjutsu
So your total lvl is 60.
Now you are still a chuunin. So this is your limit.
You CAN STILL TRAIN YOUR STATS(tai, nin, gen). But until you reach jounin level you will
get no benefit no matter how much you trained your stats.
So lets say you trained:
1200->5000 taijutsu
3000->3000 taijutsu
1800->1800 genjtsu
If your still chuunin with these stats, your taijutsu will hit exactly the same as 1200 taijutsu.
But as soon as you become jounin, you will hit with the level of taijutsu you are(example 5000 taijutsu)
~Also Solraize said, that Chakra control will take away "stat points".
It will not. It will be a skill that you train from 1%-100%. Once u reach the 100% you are done with this for ever, and your chakra control is perfect.

Re: Level Cap
it would be better if you can level up gen, nin, tai at any rank till any level u want, but at higher rank you could get stronger jutsus and a little boost when u rank up. And i think that stats cap should be in thousands but in hundreats , and thousands on hp and mp, but not like 50k+. Cause if stats would be in thousands u would level up a stat with every jutsu u use

Re: Level Cap
I would prefer that the level cap is level 80, and then with patches it will grow to...level 150...because if we start with level 150, then we have to make more weps, clothes, item models...In other words, it will save us time.

Re: Level Cap
I like everyones ideas! I think the cap should be 80 to start also. I like the idea of having a level cap for the rank you are. Academy student lvl 10, genin lvl 20 chunin lvl 40, jounin lvl 80, - just an example. but then the questions arise. If the level cap is 80, does it make you a permanent jounin? what about making something like 60 jounin and after that you get to be kage level but not hokage. I mean the Legendary Sannin are just as strong as hokages. And, that poses a question. of if you become lvl 80 and you are hokage do you learn extra stuff? then what if you lose your title do you lose your extra stuff you learned. I think that a cap in the order of Academy student lvl 10, genin lvl 20 chunin lvl 40, jounin lvl 70, kage lvl 80 would be nice.
Now the level caps are good for the reason of the exams, if your at a level 20 genin then thats the best you can be for your exams. This way you dont have a level 30 genin fighting a level 18 genin at the exam so its more of a fair fight and easier to compare abilities to decide who becomes chunin. So I think that the lvl cap is good, but only for the reason of the exams.
