Summons!!!

Okay so, inspired by the leafninja summons page, I'm going to emphasise that summons are very impressive and we need them to get people playing the game.

Let's say you can choose a summon type when you get to Chuunin. (Naruto and Temari were able to do this at Chuunin level.)

If you then practice with your summoned creatures more than Genjutsu or whatever, you will get a better chance of summoning the better summons of that type. You'll also develop a better relationship with it, making your attacks more powerful and more synchronised for great effect (e.g. Jiraiya and the boss frog with the big flame breathing attack)

And if one of your teammates can summon dogs you could have them track your target better, without having to look for footprints for example. (so the way you think about playing the game, completely changes depending on your teammates, and makes you want to never stop playing. )

And for now it would be awesome to put summons in the game, just because they're cool. Any more ideas people?

Not necessarily at Chuunin level; that might be decided by your stats. The type of summon you can perform could depend your style of fighting.

maybe your summon should based upon your chakra elements so there is alot more thinking involved when choosing how to have your character because little things will affect you later on this might not be liked by every1 though

ye thats a good idea, makes the game sense deeper and w8 and think b4 they make a desicion, also in the anime itself, the power of ur summon is based on ur chakra level...

And also, the scrolls to make a bond with the creators you can summon, idd say it should be a item DROP from higher level mobs ingame, and ppl who get it can sign their name and later on sell it ^^ , but u can only have one kind of monster to summon

actually hes a chunin. well now he is, hes been doing alot of b rank missions after the 1 year period

with summons, i have a great idea. say you have 1000/1000 chakra. and 100 is needed to summon a frog, you could use 100 and then you could hold on a charge chakra hotkey and use 100 + 100 extra chakra. so ultimately, your from will be a tiny bit bigger in size aswell as twice as strong, make a limit for size, coz you dont want them going over the screen resolution.
Oh and you can only charge it once per summon so you have to unsummon and summon it again to charge it again, so as to say. people wont repeatedly charge the pet until their godly.

basically what i am saying is.
use the amount needed to summon a pet, then use extra to make it stronger.

just wondering but, do the pets have a time limit until they dissapear or is it until you log out?

Naruto is still a Genin :p. he does B-Ranked missions but he is still a Genin. A Genin can still do a S-Ranked Mission (Example: Gaara).
We haven't really discussed about pets but about companions yea (example: Akamaru, Kakashi's Ninja Dog (temporary). As if you are in the Inuzuka clan, then your companion will stay permanently and will attack your opponents aswell. But in Kakashi's case, you will have to summons your companions as if they will only stay for a certain time.

i really like the summoning idea which heres what i think you should do i think depending on clan and element chakra ect.. thats how your frog snake wat ever comes out as example: leaf nin ja 1000/1000
chakra toad the toad might be green or yellow and when i say the colors i mean like green can have better agility yellow has better defence you get what i mean? thanks

I agree about the chuunin level but naruto is still a gennin and temari got to chuunin while naruto was training with jiraiya so that part is WRONG!!!

Genjutsu's are my next thing to work on...I want to make the screen mess up so you can't clearly see whats going on, so players don't just get hit by it on purpose because it doesn't do much.

Also you won't know which way is which, because you'll normally rely on a map in the corner of the screen which will change, but it'll be a lot more natural than you'd imagine. Your surroundings will actually change.

Does that sound good?

but wont that be hard, cuase it would have to change for everyone on the server, and if alot of people do these things at the same time wont that cause alot of lag? i don't know any programming, so im curious what is ossible and whats not.

SO in the Naruto world, theres only one Gamabunta, so if someone else has signed the Toad scroll and they summoned Gamabunta, you can't? I mean thats what should happen but thats silly! I think that you should be able to summon the strongest beast you can if you can. and if there are mulitple gamabunta, then there are multiple gamabunta. but just my opinoin, what do you think?

Extra visual effects won't cause lag because they are client-side (performed on your machine), and only the players inside the Genjutsu are affected. We'll program it so there isn't much extra data going around (over the network) because of a Genjutsu so that many Genjutsu do not cause lag while you're not affected by one. Obviously while you're inside a Genjustu the network code won't even need to check for other Genjutsu active in the area (which will be faster).

There will most probably be a lot more, to account for all the players, but limited ones that are as good as the Boss Frog, it should be proportional to the anime characters.

that would be cool but is it possible to make everything except you to slow down(for sharingan) and on every others screen you just go 200percent of your normal speed?

nice 1 but i think there should be like a random customization lets say that you summon a normal Gamabunta then if i summon 1 i get it like in green clothes just to see the difference and it wouldnt be hard to make because for Gamabunta you would have to have really high stats and all other frogs could look the same

or it could just be made like this:
at the customization menu you choose a color for your headband or anything else and all your summons change something to adapt that color!
