Map size/type
theres alot of talk about villages.
but if we are to have say about 10 villages, how many maps are gonna be implemented? or is it gonna be one huge map with everything in it like runescape or where you have to travel between maps like ROSE online, or eudemons online etc.

I would suggest you travel through maps. So lets say we have 10 Villages. But there's map like: Forest of Death, Traning ground, Great Naruto Bridge, etc.

We are working hard on this.
We are discussing this and modeling it to.

What I can tell you is, we are trying to make one huge map. It will have all the hidden villages, it will have forest of death, and lots of free space filled with monsters(hopefully) and ninjas.
We wont make just the villages and the stuff from the anime. We will make it a huge map, so there will be a huge world to explore and lots of things to find and do.

Also you have to understand that solraize,steve, and others are working really hard to make a good game engine. And people like me, and zero, and others are making models for the very basic things right now.
Once the game engine is done, and demo released. hopefully we can get permission to use naruto anime jutsus,clans, villages. permission from mashashi kishimoto.

Hmm...We have talked about that. Some wants Pay 2 Play (not big money just around 2-3 dollars a month) and some of us wants to be a Free to Play with an Online Store which will give us an income.

If you want to discuss payment for the game, there is an appropriate thread, as Umaterasu said in the above post.
Also to keep the game running we will need to invest lots of time, and time is money. Since we are not at work but in front of computer...

Please elaborate very clearly what you mean by. Seperate huge maps?

We haven't really decided if the game will be Free 2 Play. I would prefer that though

A definite note to point out is that we are spending a BUNCH of time on this game. We all have lives as well, this isn't our only hobbies. After that note, I would also like to say that we haven't decided on the F2P or P2P yet as we don't have permission. Frankly speaking though, even if we do get permission the game will more than likely still be Free to Play.
As for your seperate maps question. If I am correct do you mean, so you have to go across water, once you go halfway to the other 'continent' you would have to load and then you'd have that continent that you could explore without having anymore loading (except for dungeons and what not)?

well, paying 2-3 currency a month and paying 20-30 currency a month isnt a difference. the only thing that matters is that, IF we can pay that. i would gladly pay any money. BUT my dad wont let me use his credit card. so thats the problem.
in the game. the shopping mall would be great. what would be even greater. is if we can trade the cash money with other players int he game. e.g. ill give you 2 cash money for your sword. then just trade and the player who didnt pay for the cash would have cash and the payer would get somthing he couldnt get with cash e.g. a high lvl pet or weapon etc.

what i mean by e.g. you on the mist country. and the map there should be like 15x grand theft auto san andrea's map. and then you could set sail and go to the sand country and the map would be even huger (according to scale on the naruto map) e.g. 20x grand theft auto san andrea's map.
note: grand theft auto san andrea's map is very big, if you dont know what it is. go to google images

Who is 'steve'? Please refer to forum usernames. Also there aren't many active programmers at the moment, so developing a game engine will take a lot of time. If there are capable programmers that want to help, they should contact either me or Rave

I beg to differ. Especially as '2-3 currency' implies the use of any given currency. But even casting that aside, it's an ongoing cost, as opposed to a one-off cost. Do you have any real idea of how much money it costs to run just one game server? And this is an MMO. You can't have everything. Again, I direct you to the appropriate thread.

This is an MMO. We will however do all that we can to ensure player satisfaction.

well, what i mean is that most people who dont pay, dont pay because they cant, since they are like 10-15yr old like me (15) parents decide if you can play a pay to play game

dont worry about that kind of payment, i know that most of the underaged ppl simply don't have a visa card to pay even if its only 1$ a month or 10$ a month, so we wont be asking that kind of payment, it will most likley be donations or somthing like an online shop or something or subscription instead of itemshop(items like 5% more exp, x%more dmg for xmins and so on), so player pays x amount of dollor and gets the benefits instead of havin to buy some specific, but this wont rly be discussed for now, cuz we dont know howmuch it would exactly cost us, and howmany people will be playin the game or howmany would be able to donate / buy stuff ...
and ye this topic is about map size :p
We'll most likely have one giant map, where u can run from east to west and north to south but it would take you like 3+ hours to do so or something

it would be nice that ppl could get some sort of costumes or summoning jutsus with donation, not items that could give them advantage against other players and i think that many ppl would like to donate to get like +25% exp or something like that. And i think that it would be nice that players could become outlaws in some villages and rob other players, and if there could be NPCs that walk around map randomly killing players, which have increased drop rate.

Its not really an 'Advantages', I would call it a gift or reward for those who are interesting in donations, buying for them to have a better gaming. And 25%+ O.o...I don't think we will give extra experience, however, you might buy items like: HP-SP 30% boost for 1 hour (and you might get 10 units), or being able to buy pets, or like you said costumes (or/with crit. rate boost ). You know, just to attract the clientele. But like Sor told us, no money will be made out of this, only the necessary.
