solraize specifically asked for them to be low polly.
To make it smoother u need more pollys.
and since it will be a small weapon that u will barely see, it will look smooth. since in comparison to your characters size it will be tiny...

Re: Sai daggers
You need to improve them a bit. Sai swords look like this: http://www.icenimilitaria.co.uk/assets/saiswordsbig.jpg
The blade and handle look very bad. Also it would look a lot better if you textured it. I've actually used sai swords before so I can tell you they are not very sharp. They are more blunt and round then sharp and pointy so it would be a good idea to smooth it. Also a side bit of info on sai swords. They were used in three ways: striking, aid to hand to hand combat and defensively.

Thanks for the advice & welcome.
Re: Sai daggers
my first time i tried to model these
https://2img.net/h/i153.photobucket.com/albums/s216/phyreblade_blog/Weapons/Dagger%20Sai/Japanese_Sai_Dagger_lg.jpg
and yeah I can see how there more complicated.
So to try and do Sereno's suggestion of sai's I came up with the below.
[quote="SerenoFlanjor"]You need to improve them a bit. Sai swords look like this: http://www.icenimilitaria.co.uk/assets/saiswordsbig.jpg
I tried applying textures, but I feel autocad isn't very good with applying materials. Also These probably still look bad or nothing like the image, but these are very low polys. I mean I can't smooth stuff out to much, because that would cause more polys. although to think about it, theres pretty much nothing put cylindrical shapped objects to these, so they already eat up polys. so what do you think! good or bad just make it construction critisim. Not, you suck sort of stuff!

They're getting better. As a quick question, how many polies are they and have you asked Sorlaize how many you should use?

Re: Sai daggers
Lower the number of segments if you use cylinders.
That looks like its at least 700+ polys
