What if you don't want to be in a clan, will there be an option to be clanless, and just join a village. I mean, what if you choose to be in a clanless is the only way you can have a demon spirit within you?

I mean, thinking about it, there really wouldn't be any advantage to not having a clan bloodline. If you want to keep things at a even playing feild, then you would have to make sure that everyone has a strenght and weakness. And maybe if you have no clan, you can be a balanced character. For example, if there is a clan that is a weapon specialist, then they are very powerful with weapons but maybe there weakness be that they have lower chakra, or less powerful ninjutsu skills. Someone clanless could weild a sword, but not be as powerful with it, but they could have more chakra or better ninjutsu strength.

lol no one could be clanless because a clan is almost like your last name (Sasuke Uchiha etc.)

Umino, Iruka - not in a clan

Uzumaki, Naruto - not a clan

I could go on with more names but I wont.
So my research has concluded that not everyone is from a clan. Although I don't know much about the Shippuden(sp) series.

if you see in the names you mention, none of them has any special abilities. So it is not considered as Clans

Ok, so will we have to choose special abilites? I mean, what if we don't want any special abilites. Rock Lee is a great taijutsu fighter, but thats because of hard work. So you can't really say that everyone in Lee's family is great Taijutsu fighter and thats there special abilites.

The reason why I asked this question in the first place was to see if we had to pick a clan.

And if we had to pick a clan, would we Automatically take the last name of the clan?

My opinion:
I like the idea of being a ninja with no special abilities (such as Byakuugan). I could just be me, and I could work and choose what ninjutsu I would like to learn and what taijutsu. And someone with no special abilites would start as par for all stats (ex. his taijutsu,ninjutsu,speed,strenght,etc.). And as I progressed, I could choose where I wanted to put my stats, and i could become a strong Taijutsu player. Or maybe I concentrated more on the Fire element ninjutsu, I would be able to get as strong as Uchiha's, but my earth element ninjutsu could be more powerful then his(example). When you start off by picking a clan and you get your Kekkei Genkai, you sort of already know what type of a player your going to turn out to be. You will be able to adjust stats and improve im other areas but you'll be more concentrated in the area of your Kekkei Genkai and thats why you picked it. Having no Kekkei Genkai, allows you to start playing being par at all levels, and as you play the game you'll get to try a lot of different things, and see what you like most, and eventually you'll concentrate more on one thing than something else. This will also help with people who don't know about the game, they will be able to try out all the goods, and then they may want to switch up and become a puppet master, because they enjoyed the long distance Ninjutsu and they werent fans of the had to hand comabt, or just the opposite. Being able to pick no clan should be an option in my opinion.
