Can you post links of the really good tuts for us? That would be great. Also you learn new stuff everyday as long as you put time into it. We can use basically any models (.fbx is what we aim for) but because there are so many people that can help, it doesn't matter too much as most formats can be converted. For example I have Blender too so a .blend file is awesome.
All modelling programs have their own good and bad points; a question like that can't be answered easily. Blender is definately good enough, and is also free so worth taking the time to learn. Other than Blender I'd say Maya and Milkshape3D are very good, Maya costs a lot of money though (but comes with lots of well made features) but Milkshape3D is good considering it's very cheap.
how to get blender tuts
well i can't realy post them, because u have to sign up to a website in order to be able to view these tuts the website is http://forum.nystic.com first u have to register (for free) then u look for where it says blender tutorials which will be right under where it says Nystic 1.5.

Clothing reference images
Here's a very good site for clothing reference. If you look at the character modelling tutorial I posted above it tells you how to model clothes using these. So we might need similar resources like this site for when our modellers want to model characters from concept art.
And when our artists are designin clothes they can also look here for inspiration
