Controls
Ok, we haven't fully talked about controls at the moment because we are not finished with what abilities you will have in battle. But here's a little sample I did :
Move: W,A,S,D
Keypad (1-0): Jutsus, Items, etc.
Dodging weapons: (maybe a letter) H
Jump: Space (maintain Space to Jump higher)
Select an NPC (or an Enemy or Item)
Camera View: to change your view, right click, hold and rotate your mouse
Kunai Shuriken Throw (weapon): Right click
Weapon Swing: Left click before or after selecting the target
That's a sample so if you wanna add something into it just post it and ill add it myself

There are to many things to consider to make such decisions now.
I agree with w,s,a,d,space. but other than that will be set into hotkey system. and youll simply hit hotkeys such as f1,f2,f3...
Dodging.... Now this will be done by moving around your target. We will have movements such as quick dodge. Like hit d->d really fast for a quick left side dodge.... something along those lines.

idd rather set the hotkeys to "1,2,3,4,..." (not notepad) and use Fx buttons for something else

Well to make life alot easyer for you guy just make the buttons adjustable by the user of course have a defult but making the butons changable will cut the issues of people not likeing the button setup. Just an idea

well, you can put in a "set controls" system. and making jump and strafe keys such as space is good, and make the hotkeys for jutsus F1,F2 etc.
W,S,A,D are move
make mouse view screen (just like gta vice city style, (look around))
space is jump
the rest are alwready said
but the main idea is, movement controls shouldnt be made into hotkeys, and dont allow the click+move (its unrealistic)

definately no click movements.
You will move with w,a,s,d,space bar.

Always a hard decision for the controls. Perhaps, the hotkeys could be 1 to =, and for the jutsu seals (horse, for example) it could be the Fx (F1, F2, etc) buttons. Of course have it so the player can change it to suit him better.

ya, great idea. F1 and F2 are so dam hard.
say its winter time, and the heater isnt on. you fingers will be stiff, and that what it annoying. so i suggest the the hotkeys go onto the number pad specifically. so you can just take your hand off the mouse and quickly activate a jutsu in no time and move your hand back to the mouse to target the object
