What this means for the game Empty What this means for the game

The fact that we're using XnaHavok means the game will have many rich features such as very fast physics and built-in support for animation blending, which are seen in the latest games such as BioShock and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. You can see an outline of the system details and the testimonials from software development companies that have used them, by looking here and here.

Our Game Ideas section will now consider this when we design our game mechanics. I would like to thank the creators of Havok for their fine work, and I am pleased that such good software is available for free use.

Havok was used in many of the games you play, if they have physics. It was used in Halo 2, Halo 3, Half-life 2, Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, and so on. It supports very advanced physical interactions, so look forward to having it in Xna very very soon. Smile

Cheers,
Ben.

Another good example of what it is used in is Kane and Lynch (sp?), if I am not mistaken.
