release date
Anybody have any rough idea when we can expect to play the game, or at least a beta. I know it was just started recently, but I love the series and cant wait till its ready.

Such date cannot be given, but me and solraize did talk about it. To give a rough estimate for you i would say another year.
And btw solraize has been working on the engine for over the year... so it isnt "recently started"...
--------
Anyways, I am not the person to give this information.
And of course beta will be released much sooner... But Only one of the Admins could give you a better estimate.

Re: release date
Beta? Didnt you guys just start a few months ago? ( Not including the engine) That's pretty quick if it's accurate.

Solraize,Rave,James. Are working on the game engine.
Solraize is the original person who started doing it. Then later on he formed a little team.
I am very new to this project, I am a modeler, and since i broke my laptop i cant model anymore for the time being, since im using my old pc from the basement (128rams...).
But luckily before braking my laptop, i was intelligence enough to keep my models uploaded on the internet, so I did not loose a single model.
Now i need to buy a new laptop and get back to modeling.
-------
Anyways, Solraize asked me not to release any information.
If you want you can Message him and ask him the questions you need answers to.

Not in my case but generally speaking desktops are cheaper anyways, and to play the game you'll need a system capable of Vista's blurring effects.

It's very fast, yea. Bear in mind we don't actually have many programmers yet, and we're starting again from scratch using my old code. And none of us have shipped a commercial game title

Re: release date
i'm just gonne say this; 7.5k is rediculous for that pc m8.and also, you should rather build up ur own pc instead of buying one. companies that sell PCs are either crap, or like Alienware good, but they would charge u 2k extra or even more for their brandname 2x 2GB ram @ 1333Mhz is about 300€
4TB space, is about 250€
PC Case (good one) 120€
Electric feed : 120€
2x GX200 nvidia's (as u said 2GB memory) is about 1k € maybe a bit more, but NOTE : ram above 512-768MB does no longer rly improve ur quality if u are using a normal monitor, more ram is needed for huge screens like 26" = could use 1gb to run rly smooth and like 37" would use 2GB ram but i dont think udd use this much ram, the speed is rather important and also the ram speed DDR4 is best atm i guess.
Quality motherboard 300€
Sound card 150€
DVD WR 80€
CPU Quad cores aren't even too expensive anymore, its like 300€ for a CPU and udd get a great one.
put a Razor headset / keyboard / mouse on it (best acc) = 220€
A good Quality 24" screen or so @ 250€
that makes it about 2800€ is about 3950$ and trust me, with that youdd be able to play any game for next three years without lagging on any of em, or hving any kind of problem. and like i took best quality stuff there. if u dno how to build the PC, give the hardware shop a 50€ and they'll build it for u, still wont reach that high of price ^^

Yep, my laptop chassis is used in Alienware models, but I didn't buy it from them
But really, no-one actually makes use of quad-core capability yet. For example Havok has only recently become multithreaded, and parallel programming hasn't been big for long. Nearly all commercial games that do use all 4 cores, don't need to. Even Bioshock doesn't need 4 cores on full graphics
If you want that kind of system though, this is how to spend your money wisely.
Seriously, they know their stuff.
A flow indicator is useless, they add masses of un unnecessary
restriction, and they don't tell you anything you can't already see. I
don't think I have seen a flow indicator in a system for quite some
years now. We only ever use them in the workshop to slow down /
restrict test loops so as not to damage fast pumps / tops. They offer
no benefit in a water-cooled system. Only a hindrance.
Our final notes which go out with water cooled systems cover the even
of the pump becoming dis connected in transit. It is just one of those
things that is out of our hands when a system is shipped. Normally it
is very quick to spot as the system is programmed to shut it's self
down at a certain temperature to prevent damage to any of the
components. It normally reaches this point after a few minutes of
operation.
It's rare that this kind of thing happens, but It's how it is dealt with that counts.

So. Is serving just for saving images or does the URL u have to put in save the project or just the image. If it's only imagery, then how do u save the project if u were to lose url software.

Re: release date
I think the smartest move would be to try and deploy the game before it stops airing on tv. That way people dont see it as something drawn up from a dusty file cabinet.
