Something like that but, for special clans that aren't in the list to choose from (say sound), they could approach you based on your skills or something [Orochimaru only picked the best] and that could also be partly random. Also you might only choose 4 very popular clans so there has to be a bit of levelling out from the start of when the game is online, or we may run into problems later with uneven clan numbers.

Well i have a concept to the gaining bloodlines(Mixed elements) well you could limit and expand if you can creat more then one character say one caracter becomes s-ranked then you have the abaility to gain all bloodlines for the new character you create. Limits only make a game funnner it makes you want to brake them.

It's good thinking, I more believe in the fact of this though. Instead of when you become S-ranked you can learn to harness alot of the elements and make bloodlines (as Kakashi said... were mixed elements), it should be this... when you can make bloodlines (mixed elements)... you have the definite potential to become S-ranked .

Ok Lol Cause it had about the same stuff. Like first choosing a clan (Horde in wow) and then a city and same skill stuff.

It's an MMORPG and so is WoW.. so it's bound to have some of the same similarities . As for chaotrix, exactly lol. I have discussed a chat system with ZeroWing and we both think that there shouldn't really be a chat (other than like a "say" when you are near people) other than in villages, where you can talk to anyone, as long as you are in the villages. This hasn't been confirmed or anything so don't quote me on it however.

clan over population
i like the idea of making you be able to pick 4 clans and be put in one of those randomly. but to stop peaple from all picking one clan we can probly give some of the samaller clans advatges like a teperary exp boost strength boost or somting along the lines of buffs and the more peaple going in the other clans the more power full the smaller clans buffs get

Only people within earshot can hear you.
Or we could go REALLY realistic. And fade the font that they type depending on how close the people are.
So if your close its solid. far away and its faded text and kind of hard to see.
Same thing as hearing. Just seeing.. lol
ANd there should definately be a say verb!
I mean who wants to talk out of their village and kill people without DRAMA!
We need Role Play in this game..

In Dynasty Warriors the characters say things that you shouldn't be able to hear...
Text transparency is a good idea but, we might not need to go that far if you can't see normal text from a distance, and more importantly, any XNA games created with XNA 2.0 cannot feature text chat (unless you use a 3rd party DLL or something) for legal reasons. I think voice chat would be better anyway, from the point of view of working in your 4 man cell. Sounds can be made to play quieter over distances easily, and the networking software we plan to use has built-in support for this (as far as I'm aware, this includes the non-commercial version).
I'm not sure (because I'm not a lawyer) whether the XNA EULA allows us to have the text chat in-game on the screen. Anyway, this might be fixed in XNA 3.0 which will be out soon.
And of course it's just easier to shout the technique you're doing than type it
We could probably even use voice recognition to make it a requirement for some techniques...how about that?

I don't know you might not want to make it a requirement, BUT you could make it optional, as in you have two ways to do it, one way and then the shouting way. This will help with the people that don't have mics, because not everyone does.

Shinija and me discussed this. I think so far someone said that there could be clan leaders.
Like Shinija said, it might be a bad thing to have unstability in the villages where clans can attack the village and join another one.
My point though, is that it adds depth to the game. It would mean that villages aren't safehouses where you are only attacked from the outside. It makes the gameplay a lot more realistic.
Also, clan leaders would be able to control what the clan does, and clan members vote on certain things (we need ideas for what they can actually do.) Also the clans will be treated differently by the Hokage and Hokage's assisting panel of players. So what they do might determine whether the clan decides to betray them or not (e.g. not giving that clan the better / more fun missions, or not giving them enough money.)

Ok, Everyone certainly knows every Clan From Konoha. However, We lack Clans for Other Villages. So I was thinking of opening a Topic to discuss about the Name of the Clans outside Konoha ^_^.

Nice Info, but like you said it'll not be enough. I think we need at least 5-6 clans per Village.

The Village's Council
Well I thought that maybe The Kage shouldn't have all the power of the Village, and maybe we should add a council which will decide big decisions for the Village.

Definately, since the Kage won't be on all the time anyway. Decisions could take a number of hours to be completed if it's a minor issue.
More urgent decisions would therefore require less board members to approve it (although it should be calculated according to how much influence each board member has...maybe certain ones are liked more by players) and the Kage would have more influence over the decisions, e.g. a choice he makes might count for 3 board members/council members making that choice.
Like it's been previously discussed, these players would need to be carefully chosen. And some [players] might want their Kage to be aggressive and powerful, while others might want peace and alliances with more countries. This will play a big part in where you're allowed to travel without being attacked.

Just make the kage a NPC :/ It wouldnt be fair the kage can decide everything. If he is an NPC he can give you missions.

Yea the thing with the clan leader will be defintely considered, Ill make sure of it.
The best representatives of the clan will be clan leaders.
They will be determined by players pvp\pk skill.
And no it wont be based on stats, but players with highest stats of that clan will have much higher chance of showing better ability than those with lower stats(its logical)
But u might have really good stats, but some1 with little bit stats might be much better pvp\pker than you, then he will become the clan leader.
and i think you should be able to attack anyone. But you would get into the bingo book.
