Starting off

When you begin. You will be an Academy student. Free to roam around the academy and train as you wish.
As characters login you can send them an invite to become a Teammate.
If they accept your invite then you and that person are now partners for the Genin exam.
[I reccommend you train to a good startin off level before searching for Teammates for the Genin Exam]
If no one is on at the moment. Resume training until a new Academy student logs in so you can invite them.
Once you have a team of 3 and you and your teammates are in good shape.
Head out for the Genin Exam!!!

The Genin Exam

You and your fellow teammates will enter the exam room.
You will have a certain amount of time to answer a few questions on becoming a ninja.
If you get most of the questions correct you will pass the exam.
If you pass then you and your team will be zipped automatically to the battlefield.
Where you and your team are to seek out and defeat Kakashi.
If you are successful. You and your teammates will become Genin.
And you can wear your Ninja Headbands proudly!

Entering The Real World

After you have become a Genin.
Your team will be split up.
And you are to enter the real world.
And continuing your quest to become the greatest ninja!!!

You will want to play seriously right after forming your 3 or 4 man cell. Also, your team needs to stay the same. It'll be a new, original way of playing. And it's amazingly awesome with everyone in teams. And it fits with the way Kakashi talks about teamwork in the early eps.

but there's a problem right there, meaning if a teammember becomes in-active or quits or one of them likes to play a bit more, it'dd be kind of bad and unfair against some,
so we have to implement options taht a memebr can be kicked by vote and some1 can leave if he wants to ...

Well, Takashi it's not a bad Idea but Mosly your team wont be online at the same time. So thats a little problem I think.

I think everyone is forgetting that this is a Naruto MMORPG.. people will be on all the time. So I don't think it will be a problem finding a team that's on at the same time. Yet if someone does get inactive, I think the Jounin-leader should have the ability to throw them out of the team. I don't think it should be a vote, seeing as people are bound not to like eachother without getting to know one another.

Well thats why I said your team would be split up after the genin exam.
If players are gonna be online alllll the time then finding a team shouldnt be hard at all.

We could have it so the players are always in their set teams. Just like in the manga/anime because that's sticking to the story. And then if players actually don't play anymore ( ) then we can always make the server find out after say 1 day, or if they've made a new character we'd also know easily. Think about it. And then they could recruit a new member, out of the other teams that haven't got 4 members, or they could just carry on doing training/missions etc for now with 3 members if they have 3.

But the main idea is the team is kept together like in the manga/anime. Teamwork and learning to like your teammates is a major theme of Naruto.

again u must think about ppl that play a lot ... they will be higher lvl and for them being with couple of noobs and gettin beaten by a team that has 2 players playin a lot isn't fun...
and also, in the anime , there is always groups of 4 ... 3+a leader .

Yea, maybe then we should go with my idea of 'balancing out' the teams like Kakashi was saying at the beginning of the anime. So you will get teams with players that have varying skills but the Skill Points they earned at the academy will be (very close to) equal for each team in total...that might mean you can't have the exact team members you want though. So if you have to join a team with 1 or 2 friends, the other one would have to balance your team out. So that's an issue.

I meant, say if you have 3 friends you knew before the game and all want to join together. You won't have much chance at all of doing this the 1st time round if the stats used to level out the team are randomized.

That's about the only problem I can think of though.

We could tackle this by making the team sign up together (using 1 pc say, as they would be signing up to the game at the same time anyway.) Then the stats could be randomized the same way as normal inside a recursive loop so that therandom stats for each team member will level out the team, allowing them to advance from the academy.

Obviously the overall team rating of these randomized stats will be 3/4 if it's a 3 man cell. Because after they split up/add a member the stats will not change.

You won't have time to advance to Jounin before even setting your team up

Jounin is a highly respected rank. It's not something every player will get to be. Remember how Sasuke is surprised to know that Kakashi is actually a Jounin upon meeting him? Also, there are many ninja in the anime and manga that don't get to Jounin, Iruka for example.

Exactly.. and the game won't be any different. Jounin will be hard as hell to get and I am guessing about 200 per 1000 will get this rank and that's about it. That's a guess though... you might all be stars lol. Yet, you have to throw into consideration that jounin isn't the only path you'll be able to take.

I think to be fair we must give everyone a fair chance to get jounin but make like the max level of other games where some people just dont make it that far. Mostly its going to be people that can only work well together in groups where they have to complete missions that need superb team-work or their's no chance of winning.

Make missions like that at the end game and not everyone should get jounin until they know how to work as a team and deserve that rank, not by farming monsters-bandits mindlessly over and over for hours.

okay new idea if you dont want to have everyone a jounin. Alright have like the top 20% of people with the best missions scores get to be a jounin. If you fall behind and stop doing missions, you can be demoted to chounin.

Something that would take some thinking so people dont get mad that they got demoted after their hard-work.

the Idea of 20% of best people is great, but demote soemone who doesnt continue missions is quite harsh . Imagine if he went on vacation or something. He would be pissed.

That's why we could do a jounin test, and have it where it's really hard and you have to have certain qualities. Notice the difference in the way Kakashi is compared to Iruka. Yet... Kakashi is a special jounin. It's all about what path you choose to take though.

i think the genins should be able to request to be in a team with someone so they get to play with there friends cause some people dont like playing with strangers really and if you joing up cause your friend as joined up you might want to play the game together sort of thing and if your in seperate teams that kinda sucks but i was also thinking that the teams are not permenant and its more like a party function to do missions otherwise all your team has to be online to do a mission so maybe you should be able to flag your self saying your looking for a team and then once yolu have a team of 3 genin and 1 jounin you could go do missions this would be alot better i believe

But that's what we want....to make people know "teamwork". Even if you're not in the team you want then you have to deal with it and work with your teammates.

One of my ideas from a while ago was you could team up with other new players when you've trained a bit / got past the academy stage with some other players you've talked to. You could then form your team from new friends or have other friends you already know play the game at the same time. and as for ranks like senin which aren't rly ranks, ppl can do there best to become powerfull ingame and make other ppl call the senin, and so on :p but i feel like something in "senin"(or w/e) reffers to 3 as 3ppl, so like only 3 ppl can be called senins of a village and eum, they have to fight for it then?

well people are called Sannin (Sennin in Japanese), when they were taught by the Kage himself. So maybe if you're the student of the Kage you will receive the title "Sannin"
