I think since this will be a 3D MMO that maybe the battle system should be a little like the upcoming PS3 Naruto game "Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm".Try to find some videos online,or if you have a PS3 download the demo from Playstation Network.

Yeah, I was thinking just that. On YouTube I think it's called 'Naruto PS3 Project'.

They've really captured the Naruto movement style that's particularly evident in the Naruto vs. Sasuke battle.

It's important we do the research before trying to do the animation though. I've looked into procedural animation which looks much more natural, but it could take a lot of time to implement this. Also, we'll need to consider customizing the animations for each player. We're going to do this well.
