Tools to be developed Very Happy

Most tools will be aimed at everyone. Meaning anyone can run the level editor application, and make a level.

(green = done, yellow = these people are working on it, red = someone's had a problem with implementing this feature.)

If you're working on something here let me know & I'll add your name to it.

Character rig - Sorlaize
notes: allows keyframing of a skeleton. Can also use scaling, these things will be tweaked & added soon. More urgently it would be nice to have support for motion retargeting from a Biped, as you can save mocap data and animations from a large range of applications, and then import as Biped animations in Max.

Things to be done :: Tools Empty Rig system

Post  Sorlaize Sat Oct 11, 2008 12:18 pm

The idea of the rig (for our game) is that anyone who can animate well, or indeed anyone who wants to learn, can just pose the character using a set of controls in the application, and then that motion can be applied to any character in-game as well as the different skins used for fast previewing of the motion.

I can rig and animate if need be, I have little experience though, so if you cant find a more experienced person then I can do some simple stuff.

My rigging is fine.. It may take me a few trys, but it will turn out nice.

Depends on the type of animating.

If its full body then I can easily do it.
If its limb by limb.. ill need some things explained to me. I haven't done that yet.

I have rigged and animated in 3ds max only, any other programs would require me to learn how to use that program.
