Weapon Qualitys Empty Weapon Qualitys

So i was thinking, would it be good to have different weapon 'qualitys'?
For example - katana (very common) 2-4 damage or something like that as opposed to -Samehada (legendary) 300-600 damage?
It think that this would strive some people to go out 'weapon hunting' for the rare legendary items, meaning they are of course spending longer on the game, and enjoying themselves more.

Yeah. That damage might also be affected by the user's ability to use the weapon (certain villages may have weapon type preferences for example) and the attack can probably be enhanced using an element. Definately, this would make the game more fun..say you can use a lot of weapons without being a certain level, but you need to go to the trouble of retrieving them (this imo is more suited to Naruto)

I also thought of using some kind of degrading system in the weapons so, depending on how much you use your sword (or maybe what you hit with it), the edge can go blunt and will make it less likely to do much damage. You would need to get it repaired somehow (maybe take it back to the village); this could work because in Naruto they usually just throw weapons away...

It seems like a good idea. But personally i have played WoW on private servers and the whole durability thing is annoying. I mean if you could learn a skill so you can fix the weapon yourself it wouldn't be that bad. Just have to get the materials like a sharpening rock or somthing. You can make this ability like a high level thing. But always having to make trips gets annoying.

Yep, that's what i meant, no nessesary level requirment for any weapons, however a low level player with a high quality weapon will not deal much damage, and it takes a lot of hardwork, and teamwork to get any high quality weapons (for instance, having to kill a boss, like Kisame to get Samehada

I must say i don't agree with the durability thing.. For example zabuza's sword is picked up by Suigetsu about 3years after Zabuza died, and it was'nt worn down, and in many games i've played repairing weapons is quite annoying. I agree with mdude's idea of being able to make repairing items, if durability is put into the game.

I like where your heads at Sorlaize.. as for you mdude... pure genius. I think we should do something like that. Make the ability to repair your own weapon, but you need to get the materials for yourself. Of course different ranks of weapons would need stronger types of materials. For instances, a common katana would need a sharpening rock that is found alot of places... the samehada on the other hand would need a special type of material, that is found in a special place, once again though the samehada has a way higher durability level than the common katana.
