Ideas For What Should Be Modelled
We need to list the areas, buildings etc. that are to be modelled. I said to Takashi that modelling Konoha first would be a bad idea, for these reasons:
1) We do not have the required official reference images, like in the Naruto games out now.
2) We have not planned anything regarding this yet (hence the creation of this topic)
3) Other modellers are likely to have created Konoha models already, therefore in the future the project may acquire them.
4) Any Konoha models will likely be compared to professional ones in the aforementioned Naruto game titles, without taking into account the above points.
There is also a map editor available at GameProjects, XNA Terrain Editor. You can use this for now to make maps which are compatible with the game.
We will obviously need to develop a more suitable tool for this purpose in the near future.

Like you see countrys are big!! So it gone be a hard work! So, I think we need to do the forests and the sea! Then the citys! The citys gone be more complicated, but improvising a little don't gone be bad! And also some traps on the forests, by the hunters, can be good!

I honestly don't like the idea of using other peoples work. I rather have it all original. I also don't like the idea of everyone and anyone just making models, I think we should form an official team and have the team work together and not seperate because some stuff could be made and it has to be useable.

All models are being exported into xna in .x format?

.fbx is preferred to .x as it's a newer 3d file format.
although many other common file formats are acceptable because we can most probably convert to the desired format (obj, lwo, blend, 3ds...)

Thanx for the info on that. I was thinking we could start on modelling the main leaf village area? Have someone come up with a huge layout of the entire village numbered off. Then have a sheet with those numbers and a quick description of what the building is.
After all the buildings are in, the wall would be added in and then you could start on the next village. Saving all the small things like powerpoles-lines, benches, signs etc for later. That way we can get all the main villages down first and have some a main feature to show off to bring in more people?

Good idea for that. I really like it. But like I said, it might not be a good idea to model Konoha because we may be sued for stealing the design ect for it. Maybe we can model generic battling areas in the style of Naruto for now, as we currently need to show our capabilities without blatently infringing copyright

To make it short, I totally forgot copyright, but had it in mind in the beginning but I tend to forget
